Our Annual Heritage Festival is a Celebration of Faith, Culture, Community, and Tradition. This special event will bring our community together to celebrate Christ’s love through our heritage, culture, and tradition, while enjoying meaningful experiences, engaging activities, and opportunities to connect with one another.
This is an annual fundraising event that supports the church's mission and outreach ministries. This year's proceeds will help complete our kitchen renovation project, enabling us to launch one of our signature community outreach initiatives—providing nutritious meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in North Minneapolis and the surrounding communities.

Tonia Hughes Kendrick is a contemporary gospel singer, songwriter, recording artist, actress, and Worship Pastor at Kingdom Embassy Worship Center. A dynamic and versatile vocalist, Tonia is known for her powerful, heartfelt, and transparent delivery. Whether leading worship or performing gospel and inspirational music, her artistry and ministry are rooted in a desire to bring hope, healing, inspiration, and people together through music.
Recognized as one of Minnesota’s gifted artists, Tonia has built a distinguished career through her willingness to embrace culturally diverse and unconventional collaborations. She has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra at Orchestra Hall, at the acclaimed Dakota Jazz Club, and on the national stage of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York. Her work has taken her to hundreds of churches, theaters, colleges, universities, and concert venues throughout the Twin Cities and beyond.
Recognized as one of Minnesota’s gifted artists, Tonia has built a distinguished career through her willingness to embrace culturally diverse and unconventional collaborations. She has opened for gospel icons Fred Hammond and Dorinda Clark-Cole, recorded background vocals for Mary J. Blige, and supported acclaimed artist Aloe Blacc.
Tonia is a proud recipient of the prestigious McKnight Fellowship for Musicians, recognizing her artistic excellence and creative potential. Her recording I’m Ready Now received national exposure after being selected as a Top Ten Independent Artist in the Gospel Music Channel’s Most Powerful Voices Competition and through Jawn Murray and EMI Gospel’s search for exceptional unsigned gospel artists. She has released multiple recordings, including Celebrate, and continues to develop new music and creative projects.
As a worship leader and minister, Tonia’s impact extends beyond her vocal ability. Her Kingdom-centered ministry and powerful testimony of overcoming profound personal loss have given her a unique ability to connect with people across racial, denominational, and generational lines. Whether ministering to a large congregation or an intimate audience, she creates moments that invite people to encounter God, find hope, and experience healing.
Tonia continues to use her voice, artistry, and ministry to challenge audiences to embrace the beauty of coming together—one heart at a time, one note at a time.

David Wilson
David Wilson is an Infectious Disease Epidemiologist, Minister of the Gospel, husband, father, and worshipper with a passion for leadership, service, and developing men of purpose.
Professionally trained in infectious disease epidemiology, David brings a public health perspective to his work in ministry and leadership, combining analytical thinking with a deep commitment to people and community. He is also a member of the Messiah’s Men Gospel Acappella Group and his church’s Worship Team, where he uses music and ministry to help inspire and encourage others.

David serves as the International Executive Director of the KingsMen, the men’s ministry of Harvest Intercontinental Ministries, Unlimited, providing leadership for a global movement spanning hundreds of churches across multiple nations. He is passionate about building strong men, developing leaders, strengthening families, and creating a vibrant community of men who are actively engaged in the church and society.
Above all, David is a devoted husband, father, and servant of God who seeks to use his professional experience, leadership gifts, and faith to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
